Our solution.
In our present society of litigation, we are obliged to raise awareness of potential hazards to both employees and members of the general public. This requirement in conjunction with the efficiency and dependability of an automated warning facility, prompted the concept of the Intelligent Ice Sign.

This solution to effective awareness of risk, in conjunction with your other control measures demonstrates a Proactive and Responsible response to the risk of Slips Trips and Falls on Ice.

The combining of Proactive Awareness with the Promotional Benefits of the Intelligent Ice Sign delivers a refreshing solution.

Development.
The Intelligent Ice Sign has been some 3 years in its development and has full IPR protection. Developed and manufactured by Pembrokeshire Engineering, an ISO9000 company, registered with BSI benefiting from over 27 years successful trading.

Manufacture.
The sign is manufactured from aluminium and sprayed to highway specification; its dimensions are 1040 high x 675 wide x 90mm deep. The face of the sign is manufactured from unbreakable polycarbonate, and the lights including the sensor are all self contained inside.

Mountings.
The sign can be column mounted or wall mounted. The air temperature probe comes already attached to the sign the only probe to install is for the ground temperature, this probe can run down the existing lighting column with the fixed cable or down some conduit attached to the column or wall.

Probes.
The air temperature probe is programmed to activate the sign at Air Temperature +3.5°C and the ground temperature probe at –0.5°C.

Any one probe will activate the sign start up, but both probes have to go above their release point Air Temperature +4.0°C and Ground Temperature +1.5°C to deactivate the warning.

We can re-programme the sensor to any temperature and time delay if required.

All of the contents of the ice sign are CE approved and the sensor has an IP rating of 65. The unit is supplied with a PAT test certificate.

Activation.
During normal conditions the sign will show your corporate name at the top with your logo etc in your colours in the large centre and your corporate slogan at the bottom. When activated, the large centre section of the sign displays an ice crystal and the words WARNING and ICE above and below.

Your corporate name and slogan remain illuminated when the sign is activated.

The light systems used in the sign are low energy consumption units, which have a minimum life expectancy of 3 years.

Running costs.
The total running cost for the year per sign 365 days, 24 hrs a day is £48.20. The sign requires a 240v supply.
